Proposal Submission Deadline: February 14, 2025
We are pleased to announce the Student Challenge Track as part of IEEE MetaCom 2025. This program aims to provide a platform for students to tackle real-world problems by leveraging cutting-edge technologies in the Metaverse, digital twins, and artificial intelligence (AI).
We invite organizations, research teams, or institutions to submit competition proposals that make use of real-world datasets and align with the interests of the MetaCom community. Proposals should focus on enabling participants to utilize the data for innovative problem-solving, including but not limited to:
- Creating AI models by training within Metaverse virtual spaces to improve the performance of real-world devices.
- Developing algorithms that enhance energy efficiency through the use of digital twin data.
- Solving challenges that involve real-time device control and optimization in Metaverse environments.
Guidelines for Proposal Submission
1. Purpose and Participation
- Proposals must clearly define the purpose of the competition, including the target problem, objectives, and desired outcomes.
- Clear and detailed guidelines for participation, eligibility, and submission requirements must be provided.
2. Data and Resources
- Proposing organizations must make real-world datasets available for participants.
- Provide adequate documentation and resources, including explanations of any Open APIs required for data access and utilization.
3. Support for Participants
- Outline the tools, platforms, or simulation environments that participants can use.
- Include any recommendations for hardware or software requirements.
